I think of my Nana every day...she was and is an inspiration to all and the type of woman/wife/mother I want to be.
And to Rachel who posted about Allison Mosely, my family is close with hers and her mother will be touched beyond words that you took the time to remember her here. thank you.

My good friend Scotty O passed away last year. It is still pretty tough to get over since we always had a good time together even if we were just chillin and hanging out. You will always be missed!

My brother Eddie (Tiger) was killed in a car accident when he was 19. My family and I have always feared that his friends have forgotten about him. What a gift this book must be to the families of Mark and Peter. I'm sure it has brought them peace to know that their friends treasure their memories.

i lost my sister in 1970,when she was just 19..stopped to help a young girl who had spun out of control off the ramp on rt.24...and was struck by a car ....never a day is she out of my thoughts, you never get over it, you get thru it...always wonder what her life would have been like, who she would have married, how many children would she have had..she will always be 19 to us...miss her every day.

Your book has stir'd up so many memories for me...specifically those of Tom Karalekas A.K.A. TK/Hoss/Philma Crackin/Phil Phadernderndern/Mr. President etc. I still can’t smell a vanilla tree air freshener or drive by Trunk River without thinking of him. All those nites we spent randomly driving around in his tinted out Scirocco listening to the Ghetto boys or Digital Underground with the boomin base or chillin to UB40 and Marley looking for the next party to crash. Thanks for the memories!!!! GREAT BOOK!!!!!
R.I.P. TK – 3 finger salute my friend… miss u lots!!!!

I played with Marc Steele on Falmouth's football and lacrosse teams, as well as shared classes with him. Marc had one of the greatest senses of humor of anyone I've met. He would always have the locker room roaring over one thing or another and giving people classic nicknames that always seemed to stick. Me, Seton, and Marc suffered through CCD together and his humor made that dreadfully 'spiritual' confirmation retreat bearable.
Thanks, Steeley. You are missed.

My friend and book editor Marilyn Miller died in an automobile accident January 9,2010. She was a beloved friend, Oxford graduate and keen editor who could never be persuaded to wear her seatbelt. I miss her.

Reading this book has brought back so many memories for me of not only Marc and Peter but Allison Mosley who passed our sophomore year. I have such vivid memories from high school and the book has brought back some good and some bad! I'm so glad you both wrote it!

Losing my father was one of the hardest things I have ever had to deal with. He was 56 when he passed away from lung cancer. Growning up we always had parties at my house. Somewhere with all the old video's I have one with Seton and Marc on it. My father always loved to see the boys rough housing and running around... since he had three girls!!! I could go on and on too many great memories (: Looking forward to reading the Running Waves.

My memories are of my husband, son and parents - and as memories can do - they can be the lifeline to never forgetting the loved ones that have left us. Family and friends who become your angels in time of losing those you love can NEVER know the difference the make in your life. They are and always will be monumental in our lives.
The Running Waves will help us all with the pain of losing Marc Steele and Peter Hurd - They have never left our hearts.
